Education

Happy children raising their hands in class

Uganda has deliberately liberalized the education sector and created an enabling environment for investment in the sector with the objective of achieving Uganda’s required human capital needs and increasing productivity. Uganda aims at becoming the hub of quality formal and vocational education in the region. Currently, there are skilling gaps (knowledge and numbers) in the manufacturing, construction, hospitality and service sectors. Opportunities thus abound in the provision of productivity centred technical and vocational education, in-service specialized training programs, managerial skills development and professional certifications, E-learning, etc. The ever-increasing numbers of foreign nationals, expatriates, diplomats and foreign workers also provide a huge opportunity for investment in schools with international curricula.
